Position Overview
The Construction Survey Crew Chief is responsible for leading field operations and supporting construction projects through layout, control, coordination, and survey execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead field crews and oversee day-to-day construction survey operations
- Perform layout for foundations, columns, embeds, anchor bolts, walls, utilities, and structural components
- Establish and maintain horizontal and vertical survey control
- Transfer and maintain control through multi-story and high-rise projects

Feldman Geospatial is an early-start, project-driven organization. Many of our construction and survey teams begin work before 6:30 AM to support active job sites and client schedules.
Successful Crew Chiefs are dependable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where communication, teamwork, and accountability are essential. This role requires regular travel to project sites and the ability to coordinate effectively with field personnel, project managers, clients, and leadership to deliver high-quality results safely and on schedule.

As an Instrument Operator, you’ll work outdoors on exciting projects, operating survey instruments and supporting our field teams. Whether you’re starting out or have experience, we may have a role for you.
Responsibilities include:
· Operating and maintaining surveying equipment
· Performing fieldwork and data collection
· Communicating with the team and reporting challenges
· Following safety protocols
We’re looking for:
· High school diploma (technical training a plus)
· Experience helpful but not required—we train motivated people!
· Good math skills and physical ability for fieldwork
· Desire to learn and grow professionally
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Pay Range: $24-$34 per hour
